Solution Coating

Lubrizol Engineered Polymers are specifically formulated for the solution coating process and are soluble in a variety of solvents including high-hydrogen bonding solvents, such as THF and DMF, and in blends of these solvents with ketones such as MEK or acetone and other diluents. Some are soluble in ketones alone. Our products are also compatible with spray, dip, direct, transfer or coagulation coating. Our aromatic and aliphatic solution coating grades typically offer lighter weight options (as low as 5-10 g/m2) compared to calendaring products (no lower than 100 g/m2).
