PrintRite™ DP 234E   Ink Receptive Coating

Engineered Polymeric Digital Print Solution

PrintRite DP 234E is a custom formulated solution based on waterborne polymer dispersions. It is specifically designed to achieve excellent adhesion and scratch resistance on polyolefin and other film substrates without the need for a primer application. PrintRite DP 234E is designed as a ready-to-use product and coatings made with this product will exhibit a full matt finish with excellent print properties, outstanding adhesion and scratch resistance. PrintRite DP 234E can be processed at low temperatures making this product ideal for film applications and it is suitable for use with eco-solvent, solvent ink and latex inks. PrintRite DP 234E is designed for application to various film media as supplied, and is typically suitable for methods including rod/bar application, gravure and various others. Optimized adhesion, durability and scratch resistance are obtained with sufficient drying. This product is designed to dry and cure at temperatures suitable for film applications, however running speeds should be established to ensure product is adequately dried to obtain optimum performance during printing. These temperatures will be dependent upon substrate, machine conditions, and any subsequent formulating by the customer; however, typical drying temperatures would be approximately 70 to 90° C. Application weights will vary depending upon substrate and final performance requirements but would be in the range of 15 to 30 g/m2 for film applications.
