Water-Borne Self-Matting Polyurethane Dispersion

Aptalon™ W8030 has a naturally low gloss that allows for the reduction or elimination of matting additives that are typically required in low gloss coatings. This resin is a water-borne, self-crosslinking, self-matting polyurethane dispersion using patented polyamide polyol technology. Aptalon W8030 provides excellent hydrolysis resistance, hardness, and chemical resistance that outperforms other water-borne polyurethane chemistries. This product is a 1K dispersion designed for high performance applications, and will meet the performance properties of many 2K solvent-borne finishes without the need for external cross-linkers. Aptalon W8030 has no intentionally added NMP, NEP, and APEO which allows for global formulation compliance.
