Senior Vice President, Operations

LG Tackett is Senior Vice President of Operations for The Lubrizol Corporation, a Berkshire Hathaway Company. In this role, he is responsible for safe and efficient operations of the company’s 55 manufacturing facilities in 17 countries around the world, who help our customers move cleaner, create smarter and live better every day. 

An industry veteran of 30 years, LG’s extensive global leadership is rooted in safety, process safety, operations, reliability, supply chain, and engineering. He has a track record of delivering significant company and customer value with a continuous improvement mindset to drive operational and capital deployment efficiency, proactive reliability and best-in-class quality. His experience also includes multi-year expatriate assignments in Germany and China.

Before joining Lubrizol, LG served as Vice President of Global Operations for PPG Industries Industrial Segment. In that role he was responsible for the safe and efficient operations at more than 70 manufacturing locations, overseeing capital, quality, supply chain and manufacturing technology.

Prior to PPG, he was with the DuPont Corporation as Vice President, Integrated Operations, Water & Protection, responsible for manufacturing technology, EH&S, supply chain and capital organizations at 40 manufacturing sites. Prior to DuPont, he held senior operations positions with Valspar, Aleris International, and Celanese Corporation.
LG earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University.
